URGENT: The City of Fort Collins is conducting yet another online survey on the IMPACT/ACTIVITY LEVEL you want to see for the future of Hughes PATHS is advocating for OPTION #1: LOW IMPACT ACTIVITY, protected Natural Area. The survey closes Friday, Feb. 24th!

Complete the Survey at this link.

OPTION #1: LOW IMPACT ACTIVITY will help ensure that the legislative intent of the citizen ballot measure is honored, and that Hughes will be protected open space (aka, a Natural Area) to be enjoyed by ALL members of our community, and preserved for our local wildlife that are increasingly being encroached upon!

High impact recreational uses like some small but vocal groups are lobbying for near our foothills will be devastating to the already fragile and overused ecosystem. We support light-impact recreational activities and uses that are EQUITABLE and that everyone can enjoy.

Please share widely and opt for OPTION #1: LOW IMPACT ACTIVITY to PROTECT Hughes in perpetuity and allow the parcel to be contiguous protected open space with the existing Natural Areas at Maxwell and Pineridge!

Read our statement about HOW the City can and should honor the legislative intent of the citizen ballot measure.

PLEASE SHARE WIDELY! THANK YOU FORT COLLINS!

Take a look at the City’s Foothills Management Plan story map to see why a new Hughes Natural Area makes the most sense for contiguous protected open space and wildlife habitat near Maxwell and Pineridge Natural Areas.
